Search Smarter – And Avoid Malware

MagnifyingGlass

Next Computer Club Meeting:

Friday March 4th
1:30 – 2:30 Cantina Quilting Rm

As you all know I get around the park a lot helping people with PC/phone/tablet issues.  I mean A LOT.  Back in January I noticed a particular piece of malware caused by a click on a bad search result.  And again.  And again, etc.  People were freaked out.  Some called that 877 number that flashed on the screen.  Some knew better and called me first which is why I was able to get to the root of this issue and talk about it.

Remember that you probably don’t get malware on your PC by doing ONE bad thing, but rather TWO or THREE in a row.  And those bad things are designed to look normal at first but can cause you big problems.

This Friday’s class is all about searching for stuff on the internet THE CORRECT WAY.  So you don’t get let astray.  You’ll be amazed at how devious the bad guys are but actually how simple it is to avoid.  Come Friday and learn what to do!

As always, I will be there around 1pm to set up and answer any questions you might have about your PC/smartphone/Tablet.
